So, I love chocolate and I love blogs, which is why I especially love Cocoa, the super-cute home to Miss Penelope Bat and her sweet-as-sugar musings of adorability. She also shares my passion for pugs, which makes her fabulous x 100.
I have literally been livin’ in Lola land for the past week and a half, finishing up book three in the fiction series, but this morning, I finally handed in Cupcakes and Glitter Shakes - hurrah!
It’s now over to ed-girl to work her red pen magic, while I give myself an afternoon off… I plan to sit in my garden - not in the sun though - I’m all about the Kelly O-pale, read trash-mags, catch up on my extensive blog reading, answer emails and do some much-needed scribbling in my journal. Bliss…
Big news…I opened Westfield Junior School’s summer fayre and it was quite possibly the best day of my entire life!

I’m on a constant quest for pretty, cute, fun and affordable sweet-as-sugar treats to bust-up an outfit, and luckily for me, and now for you ladies of fabulousity, I present my latest accessory find: Temporary Secretary.
Think sailor-girl earrings, cup cake rings and good-enough-to-eat hair slides - oh, and snail mail-inspired love letter jewellery - oh my heart!
Meet Sarah, the total talent behind fab new label, Temporary Secretary!

I feel a bit like Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, (for the non-UK-types, he’s a swanky interior designer who opens a LOT of events!) but this Saturday, 28th June, I’m officially opening the Westfield Junior School Summer Fayre!
The event starts at midday - I’m cutting the pink ribbon! - and has all the treats that you would expect from a Summer Fayre - stalls, entertainment, refreshments, I’ll also be selling and signing books - so lots of fun times to be had!
If you’re free and easy this Saturday, I would love for you to come along - it’s at Westfield Junior School, Jubilee Ave, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth
Hope to see you there!
Just a quick reminder, you’ve got until July 10th to nominate me, Lisa Clark, to be your Queen of Teen (Please nominate - you could be in with the chance of riding around in a limo with me to celebrate if we win - how much fun would that be?!)

We heart soapsicles!
Never heard of a Soapsicle before? Available from Soapylove, they’re bars of soap that are the same size as a real lickable popsicle - adorbz, right?
Not only are they totes cute to look at but the wood stick is really helpful when you have slippery hands - I want to eat them all up they’re so cute, ‘cept you really shouldn’t, because they’re soap, ‘k?
The amazing lady behind these sweet treats is Debbie Chialtis - come meet her, she’s cuteness on a lolly stick too!

It’s not often I discover cool music.
Don’t get me wrong, I dig a lot of cool, cool music, but it seems that when you work in the realms of teen-girl with a bombardment of McFly, Jonas Bros and The Days - which I totes love too btw, you do lose the ability to discover the new stuff. Case in point, I heard Panic At The Disco the other day and thought they were incredz, turns out they’ve been around for ages - who knew?
Not me.
Anyway, I have discovered Katy Perry.
Her album One of The Boys isn’t out here in the UK yet, but after hearing Katy’s tune-age online and realising she’s freakin’ awesome, I splashed the cash for an import. I dig her retro-girl stylin’ a LOT, her sassy ‘tude rocks and most of all, I love her tunes. They’re quite possibly the perfect soundtrack to being a girl - feisty and fabulous - LOVE.
I am every kind of sad that the amazing talent that was Cyd Charisse has died of a heart attack. Sad days.
Cyd Charisse, who brought sizzle and sophistication to dance in classic movie musicals such as Singin’ in the Rain and Band Wagon was a total hottie and owned the screen in every scene.
Charisse captured moviegoers’ attention in a quick succession of films, starting with the now infamous Singin’ in the Rain in 1952, in which she partnered with dancer and super-hot actor of the time, Gene Kelly in a steamy ballet.
Go rent yourself the movie right now and sigh at her beauty, tip-tap around your living room and sing at the top of your voice - I think Cyd would have liked that!
Meet Miss Aim’ee Louise Richards - my bee-you-tiful, totally talented gal-pal.
She’s a glamazon, she’s a fashionista and she has a huge passion for old movies. She’s living in Hong Kong right now, where she sometimes gets poked in the chest by umbrellas because she’s so fabulously tall. She dances in clubs that no one knows exist and she designs pretty, pretty underwear.
For tips and advice on choosing the right bra and why, Miss Aim’ee is your gal.
Introducing….Miss Aim’ee!

I am hoping and wishing for an entire weekend of nothingness so I can see how many of the 20 things to make-and-do I can actually fit in, top of my list include: Forming a band - wanna join? Makin’ a mix-tape - I love nothing more than to kick it up retro style, sip home-made lemonade and add fancy tails with paper bows to my new kite. Once again, these zine queens have created quite possibly the most fun zine…Ever!
To get your crafty hands on the latest copy, head over to: www.sugarpaper.bigcartel.com or to read more about the girls behind the zine check out our Inspir-o-girl interview!
So, you know how I love to hook you up with inspir-o girls who are making their own girl-shaped footprints in the world, right? Well, today I have a total treat for you…She’s a blue-haired, NYC-lovin’, blogging queen from New Zealand, she’s called Gala Darling and we’ve got a girl crush.
I got a rather fabulous message from Pink Lady Emma, over at myspace today:
I think you are totally awesome and I’m completely in love with pink world =]
I just wondered if you had any tips you could share about getting into writing. How do you start off getting into journalism? And what sort of thing can you do to get your work noticed? Anything would be great!
Keep up the good work!
Emma xoxo
Ohhh, I’ve gone all period drama-esque and am currently reading a fabulous-o book, The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. It’s like Gossip Girl, but with frillier frocks and cut-a-dash boys - what’s not to love exactly?
The blurb: “…Glittering with jewels, brimming with secrets and loaded with eligible young men, this is New York City - 1899. Society’s elite: the glamour, the grandeur, the glittering parties, the most beautiful debutantes, the most handsome men. The rich girl, the humble boy, the forbidden love, the hushed whispers, the sin, the scandal, the mystery, the revenge.
You are cordially invited to step into The Luxe, where the secrets are dark and the sins are delicious…”
This is awesome.
Fact.
Over at Lolasland.com we have gone Ohh-la-la over all things Francais this week, so secure your beret as I take you on a scooter tour of the highlights you won’t wanna miss…
If you’re stuck for things to do with your gal-pals this weekend, Lola has everything you need to know to organise your own Ohh-la-la soiree…
Get inspired by our favourite French girl, Amelie in Love That Look…
Check out the ah-mazing j’adore France wish list - I am all over the J’taime necklace by Punkypins, so freakin’ cute…
Sometimes life is a bit sucky.
This is factuality.
But when you realise you’ve taken a left turn into sucksville - which is just north of un-pretty town btw - a girl has got to thank her lucky twinkle-stars that she’s got a rather fabulous Think Pink vanity case…Every Pink Lady has one, it’s the law and everything, and each is filled to the brim with a li’l somethin’ somethin’ to help her deal with the negative ninas, the tough stuff, and the curve balls that life sometimes seems intent on throwing our way…
Which is why, on a recent trip to the ville o’ suck, one I don’t want to re-visit in a hurry, the contents of my very own Think Pink vanity case made sure my trip was short-stay and not long haul.
FYI: This is totally un-related, but wouldn’t this Lulu Guiness creation be the most perfect-o vanity case? I’m in total heart!
Exciting times - Pink Lady, Rosie Spence has made her journo-o girl debut over at Lolasland.com!
Rosie is sharing her love for all things Blythe - “She’s cute, fashionable, fun and, check out her eyes - it’s Blythe!”
We love Rosie and we love Blythe - they’re quite possibly the most perfect-o tutti-cuti combination!
To read Rosie’s feature in full, head over to: www.Lolasland.com
Inspired by my total love of Kimora Lee Simmons and my new book Viva La Diva, it’s time to come clean.
I am a total diva. Fact.
I don’t mean a hissy-fit throwing drama queen, I mean a glitter-sprinkled, pink-thinking diva who walks tall, speaks with confidence and has enough charm to always get what she wants without being rude. It really is a rather fabulous way to be - so secure your tiara and practice your air kisses, ’cause no one is gonna treat you like a goddess ’til you start acting like one!
A diva should always be able to step into the pink-tinted spotlight and work it at a moment’s notice, and, the good news is, you don’t have to be big-headed or arrogant to come across as confident and happy. Cool, huh?!
Today, I am watching a Kimora Lee Simmons: Life in the Fab Lane marathon on E! and had to share my total LOVE for this woman of total over-the-top fabulousity…

Vote for me to be Queen of Teen (Please - you get to go to a big party with me and ride around in a limo if we win - how much fun would that be?!)
From the Queen of Teen website:
“…For the first time ever, here is your chance to nominate your favourite female author and see her crowned Queen of Teen!
Simply write 200 words on why you believe your favourite author should be crowned. We’ll accept any reason whether it’s because you love the characters they write about or their creativity!
Era Icon is a totes new addition to Pink-World in which I shout about kick-ass women who have rocked and ruled…
From A-list actress to aerobic queen, Jane Fonda was always one step ahead of the style pack.
I am beyond excited - I’m doing allsorts of crazy happy dances right now…why? Because I’ve just seen these over at amazon and HAD to share them with you!
Eeep.

As a journo-girl I’m all about asking the questions, but what I love more is answering questions, so imagine how excited I was when I was tagged to discuss my beauty secrets! Now, I know life isn’t all about make-up and cute packaging - but it is, just a little bit, right?

Not only do I have to avert my eyes due to the total prettiness of their packaging, their love of all things pink and beauty*Licious is a joy to behold!
Pssst…I’ve got a secret.
I’ve found this totes ah-mazin’ website www.Lovelula.com - it’s adorably cute to look at and is filled-to-the-brim with an unbelievably fabulous, hand picked collection of some of the world’s finest and purest natural beauty & organic products.
Organic goddess and site queen, Lula Lewis has come to play in our world o’ pink and tell us all about the fabulousity that is: www.Lovelula.com
We HEART all things book at Pink World but here in the UK, it’s super-hard to find a book store that isn’t Waterstones, WHSmith or Borders - all of which I love btw, it’s just that, what with there only being three main outlets, it does kinda limit you choice wise and there are soooooo many ah-mazing books out there just waiting to be discovered…

Anyhoosun…I recently heard about Victoria Park Books, a super-cool bookshop of wonderness in Hackney, London. If you live nearby and haven’t gone in, go in. If you’re visiting the big city, hop on a tube and go on a book adventure to find it,you’ll be very glad you did - the shop has wicked events with authors like Michael Rosen who I just love, and will do everything to help you find the perfect-o book - so go on, if you’re on half-term and in the area, go on a book adventure!
Pink Lady, Cherise Amie-Fong has written yet another fabulous-o feature ’bout our new favourite hipster heroine…Nancy Drew…
“…Nancy Drew was, and still is, a wonderful mystery book series from the 50’s about a young teenage girl with an amazing ability to solve mysteries that the local police can’t. With her loyal friends, cute boyfriend Ned Nickerson and exciting adventures, Nancy Drew charmed and enchanted many generations.
So, you know how much we heart Fred Flare, right?
And you know how much we LOVE those gorgeous boys of accessorisin’ Keith and Chris?
Well, those boys are like the gift that just keep giving and they’ve created this totes radular podcast to help you make a heart shape lamp for your sweet self on V day - J’adore…

Go grab your pink sneakers, sweatbands and legwarmers combo, pronto!
Now I don’t know about you, but I heart all things Andy Warhol. What I love even more, is a book that is all about creating an underground art movement ala Andy and co.
Notes From the Teenage Underground by Simmone Howell is that book. It’s hella-freakin’-cool.
Seventeen year old Gem and her friends, Mira and Lo, have decided to go ‘underground’. Their activities will be ‘extreme’, ‘anti-establishment’, ‘avant-garde’ and ‘debauched’.
Oh, I don’t need to tell you anything about it, you will love it. Fact.
You will dig the author Simmone Howell too, we deffo do!
I’ve been practically fit-to-bursting trying to keep this a secret!
Yep, it’s exciting times here in the world o’ me, Lola Love - we’re moving!
Our new Pink Palace will be situated at: www.lolasland.com
Now, we’re not ready to show you inside our new, fabulous-o world o’ pink just yet…
Why?
Because we’re still working on making it as bee-you-tiful as totes possible - it’s going to be H-U-G-E btw, with everything from blogs to beauty and a whole lot of fierce and fresh fabulousness in between - but you can head over right now and sign up for Lola Mail - this will make sure you’re the first to know when we start rockin’ and rulin’ the interpipe!
Go, go, go! www.lolasland.com
www.pink-world.co.uk has teamed up with Hairspray to offer you the chance to win a pair of tickets for this smash hit musical.
Yep, you’ll be able to shake, shimmy and sing along with the entire cast as you get to watch Pink-world’s favourite movie come to life on the West End stage… Tell me, what’s not to love about this AMAZING prize??
So, you know how much I love Sugar Paper zine, right?
Well those gorgeous girls have gone and created a crafty pin-ups calendar for 2008 - I got my copy yesterday and I LOVE it - you will too!
It’s got tips, cool links, pics to colour in and even cute craft boys. Yum!
My fave SP tip is: Make sure you tell people you want post!
I like emails so please don’t stop sending me those, but I LOVE post sooo much more!
Y’know, real life snail mail, with glitter and stickers and news and stories and pix and general fabulousness. Author-girl, Lisa Clark loves real post too, A LOT.
So, why don’t you become a retro writer girl, pick up a pen and send Lisa and I real-life post? That would be AWESOME!
We’ll deffo reply, we both love writing letters!
Send us mail at: Lisa Clark and Lola Love - c/o HarperCollins Children’s Books, 77-85 Fulham Palace Road, Hammersmith, London, W6 8JB
Fabulous-o, soon-to-be kick-ass journo-girl, Staciee, asked author-girl, Lisa Clark if she could interview her for her ‘meedja’ coursework.
Lisa, who secretly really rather loves being interviewed, said: “Me? Are you sure? Why, of course Miss Staciee, I would LOVE to!“
Check out Staciee’s radular talent and find out all about author-girl, Lisa Clark after the jump!
Take Joan Jett and Betty Page, throw them in a paper bag together and that’s pretty much what you’ll get from Sarah Rocks!
She knows how to rock the mic and guitar in a totally interstellar way that will knock your socks off!
“I’ll give girls a reason to play air-guitar in their bedrooms hidden from disapproving eyes–I’ll give them something they can call their own.” -Sarah Rocks!
Exciting news - forget New Year’s Resolutions, author girl, Lisa Clark has written a rather fabulous-o feature ’bout New Year’s Revolutions instead! Go read it here and feel free to share the love by leaving her a comment!
Adoreably fabulous Pink Lady, Miss Carla, has had an idea…
“…We’re always bombarded with companies, magazines and advertisements telling us that their product is the best thing since peanut butter and chocolate met.
But who’s really right?
I was thinking, it would be fab to find out what other Pink Ladies think…”
All you need to do is copy and paste the mini-survey below into either a comment or an email before the 31st January - There’s a Lola goodie bag up for grabs for one lucky entrant too!
We’ll then host the Think Pink awards here in February - where we’ll reveal the winners and shout about why we love them so much!
