You ever heard that saying, “your body is a temple?”
Well, when you’re Beauty*licious, you worship at the temple of you every single day.
What we do to our body, or put in it, is a reflection of how much we dig ourselves. So it makes a whole lot of sense that if you want to look and feel fierce and fabulous, you have to treat your body with respect and keep it in perfect-o working order. Right?
Which is why Pink Ladies, like myself and Lola, worship our fabulousness by staring in the mirror, primping and experimenting daily with various Beauty*licious rituals. Not only is it a major source of fun, it’s a chance to play goddess-girl with our appearance, max-up our self-image and gives us that super-important moment in the day to say: “Hey Gorgeous Girl - you’re looking seriously Beauty*licious!”
Y’see, a true Beauty*licious Pink Lady will work her beauty routine out of pure prettifying pleasure NOT out of self-loathing. She doesn’t put make-up on to cover up, she puts it on to enhance her too-cute features because pampering is all about the fun. It doesn’t have to involve putting make-up on either, it can be taking a soak in a filled-to-the-brim bubble bath, rubbing yummy coconut smelling body lotion on each morning or preparing a DIY face mask. If you enjoy looking after yourself, other people will pick up on your positive ‘tude and you will become a walking, talking, primping poster girl for all things Beauty*licious - damn, you’re pretty!
Beautification 101
- Always express your feisty, fun, fearless and fabulousness - you know you’re all these things no matter what look you’re working, right?
- Never blend. Evah. Instead of trying to cover up what’s different about you - experiment, ignore trends and figure out how to accentuate your fabness so you’ll be sure to stand out in a crowd.
- Rock a look that feels completely right for you. If you take the chance to be seen, it doesn’t matter if no one else digs it. You’re a star-shaped, glitter-girl, baby and you call the shots on how you look in your world.
WIN! WIN! WIN! What would your tips for being beauty*licious be? What prods do you love? What makes you feel fab about yourself when you look in the mirror? The best comment will receive a copy of Beauty*licious and some glitter-fabulous Barry M prodz - closing date is February 14th 2010.

Lauren Luke is an internet phenomenon. Her make-up tutorials, filmed in her bedroom in South Shields near Newcastle, have attracted a staggering 36 million hits on YouTube.
Growing up, Lauren had a tough time at school and began experimenting with makeup to fit in. And so began a lifelong love affair with cosmetics and the art of transformation. One day she decided to share her passion with friends online and became a sensation.
Everyone has bits they love about their face, and other parts they’d rather conceal, and Lauren will show you how to make the most of what you’ve got. Just like sitting down with your best friend for a makeover session, Lauren’s book is brimming with fresh ideas and packed with insider beauty tips and tricks of the trade. £6.79 from Amazon

My Worst Best Friend by Dyan Sheldon offers a warm, smart and very funny look at the friendship between two very different girls. Gracie and Savannah are best friends - despite being totally different. Savannah is beautiful, outrageous and irresistible to the opposite sex. Gracie is shy, smart and would rather be learning about lizards than meeting boys. Together they make a great if surprising team and it seems like nothing could come between them - but over a long summer Gracie begins to question Savannah’s reliance on lies and manipulation to get her own way and wonder whether her friend is quite as confident as she seems. When Gracie meets a boy she really likes, and Savannah comes between them, Gracie realizes that maybe it’s time she started thinking for herself.
The two friends may never be as close as they were but they’ve learned a great deal from each other. This is a witty and very funny story about friendship, keeping your own identity and moving on. £6.99 from Amazon

If you’re a Twilight fan - I’m Team Jacob btw - then you’ll LOVE Need by Carrie Jones.
Author Carrie has a way of creating kooky characters with strong voices that seem immediately familiar. Zara’s character is no exception, she’s been shipped off to Maine to stay with Grandma Betty in the middle of nowhere during a super-cold winter. According to her mother, Zara just hasn’t been herself since her step-father passed away, and all of this is apparently supposed to help.
Before Zara even has a chance to snap out of the depression, her attention is drawn elsewhere by a mystery surrounding a local boy’s disappearance. Oh, and then there’s the strange man who seems to be stalking Zara.
I LOVED it, I think you will too! £6.99
What books are you currently reading, gorgeous girls? Care to share?

Meet Carolyn Turgeon. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Carolyn is author-girl of Godmother: The Secret Cinderella Story which is set in a modern day NYC and is a breathtaking story of love, loss and redemption. It’s a re-telling of the fairytale Cinderella, but with a touch o’ Enchanted, a li’l Charmed and a whole lot o’ Wicked - it’s by far my favourite read of the year, s’far. Fact. Carolyn also hearts all things 1940s, is a sucker for Urban Decay cosmetics, loves Burlesque and the musical fabulousness - she’s simply de-voom!
Hey, hey ladies - so I’m in! There are lots of boxes still to unpack, but most importantly, there is chocolate in the fridge, my Audrey Hepz framed pic is now hanging and I connected my TV, Internet and phone all by myself this arvo - girl power!

This isn’t even a procrastination station, books are by far my most favourite thing, even more than Galaxy chocolate - yep, fo’ real - so filling in questions, about my favourite things, is like some kinda rainbow-coloured dream fest - I’m so excited to read everyone’s answers too, so be sure to paste them into the comments or link me to your responses on your blogginz - ok, here are my answers:
1. What author do you own the most books by?
I own every Judy Blume book, EVER because reading Judy is an education.
I also own every Francesca Lia Block and Rachel Cohn book too, because they’re officially my favourite authors…
2. What book do you own the most copies of?
I have three copies of Weetzie Bat by Francesca Lia Block as I always like to have copies to give as presents…
3. Did it bother you that both those questions ended with prepositions?
Does it bother you that I don’t actually know what that means?!
4. What fictional character are you secretly in love with?
I love Shrimp in Gingerbread by Rachel Cohn - laid back, cute x 100 and says ‘you’re harshin’ my mellow’ - what’s not to love? I love Oscar in my book Time to Shine, I hoped that writing about a cute Irish geek-boy who liked all things retro and comic books would actually make him real - FYI: I’m still waiting. I’m also a li’l bit in love with Alex in I heart New York which is a book written by one of my besties, Lindsey Kelk, and it’s out in July - he’s so freakin’ hot in a New York, I’m-in-a-band kinda way - yumsville.
5. What book have you read the most times in your life?
Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret and Forever by Judy Blume - we’d read and re-read the rude bits in Forever in the school playground and giggle lots.
6. Favorite book as a ten year old?
Remember me to Harold Square by Paula Danziger - that’s when my love affair with New York really began, but I remember thinking at the time that Harold Square was an actual person, bless! I also LOVED the Anastasia Krupnik books by Lois Lowry - actually, I’m going to go purchase me some in order to re-live my youth - you should too, they’re amazing!
7. What is the worst book you’ve read in the past year?
Um…if I don’t like a book, I rarely finish it, so I haven’t actually read anything bad, I did read a children’s book by a famous person and found out that the famous person didn’t write it and got really mad, does that count?
8. What is the best book you’ve read in the past year?
s’far, it’s been Sarra Manning’s Unsticky - so, so good. I also have to give special mentions to Men, Money and Chocolate by Menna Von Pragg and I heart New York by my gal-pal Lindsey Kelk…
9. If you could force everyone you know to read one book, what would it be?
Weetzie Bat by Francesca Lia Block and The Creative Companion by SARK
10. What book would you most like to see made into a movie?
Is it wrong to say, I’d love, love, love for any of the Lola Love books to be made into a movie? It is? Oh well, then I’m wrong, because I’d LOVE for Lola to be on the big screen - think it would be AMAZING!
11. What is the most difficult book you’ve ever read?
Oh, I don’t have time for difficult books. Reading, for me, is my total pleasure and I don’t want it to ever be a struggle, I want it to be a completely indulgent experience, so if it feels like it might be a trickster, I don’t read it…
12. What is your favorite book?
Weetzie Bat and Necklace of Kisses by Francesca Lia Block and Gingerbread by Rachel Cohn.
13. Play?
Romeo and Juliet
14. Poem?
I like anything by Rumi, but my favourite poem of all time is Phenomenal Woman by Maja Angelou - go google it, INCREDZ.
15. Essay?
anything by girl o’ awesomeness, Hilary Carlip.
16. Who is the most overrated writer alive today?
The only over-rated writers are famous people who don’t actually write books, yet have books on the shelf with their name on it - makes me a li’l bit mad.
17. What is your desert island book?
Dangerous Angels by Francesca Lia Block - it’s a bind-up of all the Weetzie Bat books and is whimsical and fantastical - I love it!
18. And . . . what are you reading right now?
I’m reading a few at the moment - I’m re-reading Eat, Pray, Love because it makes me happy, The Goddess Diet by Anita Revel - it’s not an actual diet, it’s just goddess-girl awesomeness, 31 Dream Street by Lisa Jewell - she’s still got it, I love it and I’ve just finished Platinum by Jo Rees - wowzers, it’s RUDE!

The amazing people at Bookbag have been the first to review Time to Shine, and guess what?!! It’s a really, really good one - woop, woop!
Bookbag, Lola and I heart you!
Cupcakes, I have the BEST news!
Two brand-spankin’ new Lola fiction books Time to Shine and Li’l Miss Bliss are out TODAY!
Now, I know I should be all about the words, what with me being the one to write them and all, but seriously, how cute are those freakin’ covers?!! Aren’t they bee-yoooooou-tiful?!

Time to Shine
Lola has snagged a role in the school musical but she’s got a serious case of tummy butterflies! Not only has she got to sing, dance and act but she also has to plant a big one on the lips of her leading man - one Mr Jake Farrell! Even with her Pink Ladies cheering her on, Lola isn’t sure she’s ready to take centre stage or get up close and personal with the object of her crushage. And when Charlie’s cutie-patootie cousin Oscar appears on the scene, things get even more confusing in Lola land.

Li’l Miss Bliss
Lola couldn’t be happier that the Mothership is dating Bella’s pa, Yoga Dad. Or at least she thinks she couldn’t. All of a sudden, Bella has gone from Pink Lady to I-know-best-big-sort-of-sister and it’s all a little too much for Lola Love. When Yoga Dad offers to take the new family and the Pink Ladies to a super cool music festival, Lola knows she should be all kinds of excited but instead, her life starts spinning out of control. Everything is going topsy turvy - fashionista Angel is wearing wellies, sweet Sadie is away with the fairies (literally), Bella is monopolising the Mothership and Lola doesn’t know where she’s supposed fit in anymore. It looks like happy families are no easier to deal with than unhappy ones…
You can get your copies of Time to Shine and Li’l Miss Bliss from Amazon and Play f’sure, and if your local bookstore doesn’t have them in (shame on them!) ask them to order them for you!
Can’t wait to hear what you all think!

Right now, if I wasn’t typing, I’d have both hands in the air!
I’m so sorry I’ve not been updating as regularly as I should and that I’ve not been giving you the attention that you gorgeous pink ladies deserve, but I’ve been really poorly and I’m STILL finishing Li’l Miss Bliss, I know, I’m the slowest writer in the world, right?!

You can read it here - if I do say so myself, it’s really quite lovely.
We’ve all seen the crazy World o’ Wag in the weekly mags, and while I’d never, ever want to be one, unless it involved me getting hang-time with Mister Beckham, obv., I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE reading about them, which is why I am super-excited about the fab new book, WAGS’ World.
The blurb:
An ordinary girl thrown into an extraordinary life…

If you’ve read Livin’ La Vida Lola, you’ll know that thanks to Bella, Lola discovers the awesomeness that is zine making. Like Lola, I HEART zines, and while I’m STILL making mine, Girls Rock and Rule, my absolute favourite is Sugar Paper Zine created by the AH-MAZING Seleena and Kandy (read their inspirOgirl interview here).
I stopped the gorgeous Miss Seleena, mid cut and paste on issue 3, to ask her to create a too-cool-for-school Pink Ladies guide to zine making, and because she’s a huge helping of awesome sauce, she only blimmin’ did!
The gorgeous girls at Chicklish have shown Lola and I some mah-jah love by giving Livin’ La Vida Lola five stars - woop, woop!
And the winner of the Banish the Bad Stuff competition from my sparkly pink beret is…..Nattie! Email me your address at: lc@pink-world.co.uk

I also got a copy of Think Pink in Italian-o through the post this morning - bellisimo!
I’m sliding down rainbows into puddles of pink glitter sparkles today - I’m in a Lola frenzy of happiness!
Pink Ladies, just like you, I know that I rock, and when I look in the mirror, I like what I see - I have sparkly-eyes, a cute smile and a fabulous ability to accessorise, but for a while now, despite having written Beauty*licious, I forgot to show myself, and my body, the love it deserves.
I’ve been using it as a trash can putting way too much bad food in it and not enough good food, I’ve not pampered or looked after myself nearly enough, and haven’t been doing pilates and walking, which I love, as often as I should…
Chiquitas, I’m still high on happiness from my trip to gay Par-ee, le sigh. I’ve been watching Fred Flare’s Paris Flare vid on repeat, SATC American Girl in Paris part une et duex, channeling Amelie and refusing to speak English. Which is why I’ve been super-slack at spinning the wheel of all things fabulousness to bring you your usual advice, goodies, pretty things and pink insights - I am SO sorry!
I’d totally forgive you if you were to think that I were just a girl who wrote blog entries about pretty, fabulous people and things, but in case you’ve forgotten I’m a writer-girl too and in February ‘09, three - yep, count ‘em, baby - T-H-R-E-E Lola Love fiction books will be hitting a bookshelf near you!
I am beyond excited.

The adorbz Alexandra and Luisa are having an It’s A Girl Thing chick chat - it’s simply fabu!
How lucky am I ?
The lovely Little Miss La-la has interviewed me for her cute-as-a-button blogginz - you can check it out here!
Yep, I’m going to say it; Christmas!
The only reason I’m mentioning it mid-November, which should still technically involve celebrating my b-day, is because I’m going to be away for a big chunk of December - did I tell you? I’m going to India?! - and I’m having to start my Christmas shopping early…
So, despite being an only child, I thought it might be really cool to offer up some Pink-world recommends… over the next few weeks to inspire your very own present-buying - I know, I’m like the gift that keeps giving, right?!
Today I am wearing ridiculously over-priced labels and speaking in a super-posh ‘It’ girl accent.
Why?
Because I’m super-excited about the launch of new book Young, Loaded and Fabulous - read about it here - that’s why!
It’s out today, 13th November, and to celebrate, I’ve swapped air-kisses and had a girl-goss-fest with author-girl Kate Kingsley and I’ve bagged five copies of the book to give away to five fabulous Pink Ladies!
I might not be super-young or loaded…yet, but I’m most deffo fabulous, right?!
NEW BLOG TO LOVE!
A li’l while back, the fabu Miss Hannah, knowing my love for all things book, pointed me in the direction of an awesome new review site that she’d discovered, www.dragonflybookreviews.blogspot.com created by the way-to-fabulous-for-words 13-years-old, Sara Ann Leslie.
I have been a total fan-girl ever since, and I have absolutely no doubt that if you love tween/teen books and think that reading rocks, you will be wanting a ‘I heart Sara’ badge pretty soon too!
Do you heart Gossip Girl? Er, hello, can I just say Dan Humphrey? Swoonsville. Have you read the books and watched your season one box set a gazillion times? If so, then I’m guessing you might be in need of a new glam-girl, label-crazy fix, right?
Well, get your manicured mitts on this, the most addictive, glamorous thing since…well…Gossip Girl. Young, Loaded & Fabulous by Kate Kingsley.
The blurb: London socialites Alice Rochester and Natalya Abbot are glamorous, sexy, spoilt and only sixteen. When they’re not at their prestigious private school, St. Cecilias, they can be found partying in London’s private members clubs or jetting off to the most sophisticated European cities.
The very fabulous-o Miss Ivy, who I recently interviewed for Pink-world, has turned holla-back journo-girl and is running the coolest interview with moi right now!
I’m in a totes state of blush at quite possibly the most way-too-cool-for-school intro I’ve ever read about myself…Shux!

Pic: Me and the incredz talent that is Sarra Manning…
I know I’ve posted about the Queen of Teen already, but I was flicking through my pictures last night and this one just made me smile… Y’see, Sarra Manning isn’t just a totes kick-ass author, she used to be ed-girl of quite possibly the coolest magazine you’d have EVER read - J17.

Not only am I nominated for the Queen of Teen alongside already tiara-ed, author-girl of fabulousness, Meg Cabot, (btw, there’s still time to vote for me, y’know!) I’m also going to be interviewing the gorgeous lady herself this month in a super-swank hotel in Londinium!
Now, I’ve had the complete treat of interviewing Meg before, in Harrods no less, so this time, I’m throwing the interview mic out to YOU!
Ohmystars - I am beside myself with crazy kinds of rockin’ and rollin’ excitement.
Why?
Because I’m about to hook you up with quite possibly the most kick-ass rock chick you’ll ever meet - the fur-reakin’ awesome Carrie Borzillo-Vrenna.
Carrie is the author of my new favourite book: Cherry Bomb: The Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Better Flirt, a Tougher Chick, a Hotter Girlfriend, and to Living Life Like a Rock Star - she might be married to a rock star-type, but personally, I think she’s the real rockstar - Carrie, you rule. Fact.

Ohmystars!
I am TOO excited.
Ugly Betty: The Book is out in September and I, Lisa Clark, biggest Ugly Betty fan ever, have got a copy.
Oh, it’s good. It’s very, very good.
It’s a one-of-a-kind companion book to the hella-popular-as dramedy and has cleverly been created to look like an issue of Mode that Betty has edited herself. It’s designed in the form of magazine articles based on the show’s storylines, all told from Betty’s unique point of view - it’s clever, cool and really funny - I’m just super-jealous of the writer/editor that got to put it together!
Has anyone read Wicked Lovely?
I devoured it on my recent trip to Glastonbury and I LOVED it. The clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in this cool, urban 21st century faery tale - it’s magical, hip, refreshing and exciting and it has a bee-yoou-tiful cover too.
I got to interview the incredz writing talent that is Melissa Marr, author girl of Wicked Lovely and her new book, Ink Exchange. She deffo wasn’t wicked, but she was more than a little bit lovely.

Not only am I am a total fan-girl of Naughty Secretary Club, the lady behind the kitsch-y shop of wonder, Jennifer Perkins, is most deffo one of my InspirOgirls, fo’ sho’!
Not only is she a craft-girl, business owner and teev presenter, she’s an author-girl too and has just released her brand-spankin’ new how-to book of awesomeness - Naughty Secretary Club: The Working Girl’s Guide to Handmade Jewelry. The book is packed with more than 50 kitschy-secretary-themed jewelry projects, turning your standard office fare, like binder folders and shredded junk mail, into craftalicious jewelry - coolio-a-go-go!
Come meet Jennifer, she’s the one in the Super-Talented-Girl outfit!
Three of my most favourite things are; blogginz, books and NYC.
So you’ll totally understand when I tell you that I have fallen head over my pink Converse in heart with the AMAZING NYC-based, book blogger, Maria Selavy.
Her blog, Leaving Shangri-LA, is my absolute go-to site for all things YA and book-related - it’s incredz.
Not only does Maria read books and share her latest reads of fabulousness with us all, she’s also working on her very own writer-girl projects AND she’s the super-talent that has created that unbelievably beee-yooout-iful illustration of Lola - isn’t it just swoonsville?
If you love books, you’ll be wanting to make Rie you’re BFF, like, now. Err…excuse me, there’s a queue, and it starts behind me, ‘k?!!
I am a HUGE fan of the fabulous SARK.
Fact.
I was introduced to her books of crazy, colourful dee-lite about 7 years ago, and they’re total fill-you-up-with-fabulousness books that I just love to read on a rainy day, snuggled under the duvet. I love her work for lots of reasons, but my most favourite of all, is that she says; ‘naps are absolutely essential to the creative process’ - hurrah, I love me a li’l nap time!
I’m back from the Ed book festival and it was a huge, huge dollop of yummy awesome sauce!
So, this weekend I’m off to the Edinbro’ Children’s Book Festival - I am nervy and excited all rolled into a pink me-shaped package right now!
I’ve been going to the Edinbro festival for the last five years now, and have spent entire days hanging out at the book fest… what I love most is being surrounded by so many people who dig books as much as I do. I always let out a huge, big happy-girl sigh when I arrive at the entrance because I know that, when I step inside, it’s like stepping into a pair of my favourite pink pajamas - comfy and familiar. Every year, after seeing lots of amazing authors share the love, I’d come home and write in my journal about how I was going to appear as an author there, and this year I really, actually am. It’s in the programme and everything!
Ed fest was on my Life List - a list of things I’m going to see, do, visit, experience and achieve in the life o’ Lisa - it’s a looooooong list, but this year I’m going to be able to tick it off - like that’s not the hugest helping of yummy awesomesauce ever! Not only is appearing at the Ed fest a total dream come true, it’s proof that when you write something down, commit it to paper and then visualise and believe in it, it can and will happen! It’s real-life magic. Fact.
What’s on your Life List right now? Care to share?
I’ve not been so excited about a film since…oh, I dunno, the last film I got excited about!
The ah-mazing Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, a killer book by Rachel Cohn and David Lethian, which you should deffo go read if you haven’t already is coming out in film form this October - I’m doing a happy dance just thinking about how good it’s going to be.
Until October, I’ll just keep watching this trailer on loop!
Exciting times - thanks to all you lovely Pink Ladies, I’ve been shortlisted for the Teen of Queen award!
Wohhhoooo!
I’ve always thought of myself as more of a princess, but Jeez Louise, have you seen who I’m hanging with in the soon-to-be Queen shortlist? The likes of Meg Cabot, Cathy Cassidy and Sarra Manning - all total inspir-o-girls in the land o’ Lisa - seriously, who needs a crown when you get to hang out in the company of these kick-ass ladies?
I’m totes filled-to-the-brim just to be nominated - so a big, huge glitter-filled thank you hug for takin’ time out to recommend me you Pink Ladies of fabulousness!
Now, and I promise I won’t ask again, if you’ve got a spare few minutes, please head over to www.queenofteen.co.uk - there’s a Q&A with me and the chance to click the ‘vote for me’ button!
Pink Ladies, as it’s LYU week, I’m beyond excited to be hooking you up with the uber-amazing star-shaped American-o author and coach, Courtney Macavinta.
Courtney is founder of RespectRx.com, which empowers girls, women and their advocates through blogs, workshops, retreats and her best-selling book for teen girls, RESPECT: A Girl’s Guide to Getting Respect and Dealing When Your Line Is Crossed.
Courtney rocks and is a totes inspir-o girl when it comes to Lovin’ Yourself Up - I dig her and think you will too…
Meet Kimberley Wilson. She can make your world significantly pinker. Fact.
Reasons why I heart Kimberley:
She hearts pink - hurrah, she has a black pug dog - I am envy-green!, she digs shopping, she loves dropping random french phrases - j’adore, and she has a fabulously swank book, website and podcast dedicated to becoming a Hip Tranquil Chick which is quite possibly the most dee-liciously sweet-as-sugar way to Love Yourself Up.

Ohhh, I’ve gone all period drama-esque and am currently reading a fabulous-o book, The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. It’s like Gossip Girl, but with frillier frocks and cut-a-dash boys - what’s not to love exactly?
The blurb: “…Glittering with jewels, brimming with secrets and loaded with eligible young men, this is New York City - 1899. Society’s elite: the glamour, the grandeur, the glittering parties, the most beautiful debutantes, the most handsome men. The rich girl, the humble boy, the forbidden love, the hushed whispers, the sin, the scandal, the mystery, the revenge.
You are cordially invited to step into The Luxe, where the secrets are dark and the sins are delicious…”
So, you’ll never guess what? The books have been delayed. Boo.
They’ll now be hitting shops Monday 7th April, so if you could just hold off on poppin’ your pink party poppers ’til then, that would be awesome!
You’ll be super-pleased to know though, that the Pink Parade is well under way!
Hurrah!
We L-O-V-E Melissa Walker.
She used to work for US Ellegirl, she writes books about the modelling industry - think America’s Next Top Model and she lives in NYC. Oh, and she eats cupcakes. Not all the time, but she does get to eat ‘em. In New York.
I know.
She’s got a new book out too, which is the really important thing that I should be telling you about.
Brand-new author alert!
The super-fabulous Luisa Plaja is soon-to-be-added to your list of must-read authors. Her first book Split By a Kiss is too, too good. It’s out this week, but before you buy it, which you will absolutely want to do, read on to find out all about it and the author-girl herself, you’ll be really, really glad you did!
Now I don’t know about you, but I heart all things Andy Warhol. What I love even more, is a book that is all about creating an underground art movement ala Andy and co.
Notes From the Teenage Underground by Simmone Howell is that book. It’s hella-freakin’-cool.
Seventeen year old Gem and her friends, Mira and Lo, have decided to go ‘underground’. Their activities will be ‘extreme’, ‘anti-establishment’, ‘avant-garde’ and ‘debauched’.
Oh, I don’t need to tell you anything about it, you will love it. Fact.
You will dig the author Simmone Howell too, we deffo do!
Fabulous-o, soon-to-be kick-ass journo-girl, Staciee, asked author-girl, Lisa Clark if she could interview her for her ‘meedja’ coursework.
Lisa, who secretly really rather loves being interviewed, said: “Me? Are you sure? Why, of course Miss Staciee, I would LOVE to!“
Check out Staciee’s radular talent and find out all about author-girl, Lisa Clark after the jump!
If you love all things America’s Next Top Model (we do, we do!) then you will totes heart Melissa Walker’s new book, Violet On The Runway, it’s about…oh, I’ll tell you what, I’ll let Melissa explain, she did write it, after all and she’s agreed to come play in our world o’ pink - whoop, whoop!

Ruby is still trying to get over the fact that her middle aged mum, who forgets to dye her roots and wear tracksuit bottoms to do the house work is now going out with world famous acting legend Jeremy Fort.
Her Mum, going out with someone famous!
This would be weird even if Jeremy’s last girl friend hadn’t been Carenza Slavchenkov the Russian supermodel. Weirder still Ruby’s mum is taking her to spend the holidays in Hollywood. Suddenly Ruby’s been launched into Tinsel Town and she has no idea how to deal with it.
I’ve caught up with the fabulous Ruby to find out ’bout Danny, how to deal with pesky parentals and what life’s really like in Hollywood…

Uber-cool author girl, Sarra Manning has created a brand spankin’ new series about four models/celebrities who share a flat in London.
The first book, Laura, is all about the winner of reality TV show Make Me a Model.
Laura thinks that by being pretty damn gorgeous and beating over 12,000 girls to get onto Fierce’s modelling books she will gain insta-access to a super-cool modelling career, turns out, not so much.
Her friends and boyfriend aren’t being as understanding as she’d like, her new flatmates are crazy for fame and her booker thinks she’s too fat.
Pretty soon, Laura stands to lose everything (except possibly weight…)
How much do I heart Cathy Cassidy?

Now, while I could of quizzed her on important issues like, why Mia has messed up SO badly in book 8 of The Princess diaries or how on earth Meg is able to write the gazillion amount of books that she has AND have time to eat, drink and sleep,
I didn’t.
Instead, I thought to my sweet self, ‘Meg Cabot, one of the most fabulous girls in girlsville, what is your ‘it’ list?’
Luckily, Meg was only to happy to share a glitter-filled, superfluous moment with me, don’tcha just love her?!!
So…Meg Cabot, what’s rockin’ your world?
Francesca Lia Block is a total hero girl of mine.
She is the creator of my favourite character in all of fictionville, Weetzie Bat.
