katy_perry.jpg

It’s not often I discover cool music.

Don’t get me wrong, I dig a lot of cool, cool music, but it seems that when you work in the realms of teen-girl with a bombardment of McFly, Jonas Bros and The Days - which I totes love too btw, you do lose the ability to discover the new stuff. Case in point, I heard Panic At The Disco the other day and thought they were incredz, turns out they’ve been around for ages - who knew?

Not me.

Anyway, I have discovered Katy Perry.

Her album One of The Boys isn’t out here in the UK yet, but after hearing Katy’s tune-age online and realising she’s freakin’ awesome, I splashed the cash for an import. I dig her retro-girl stylin’ a LOT, her sassy ‘tude rocks and most of all, I love her tunes. They’re quite possibly the perfect soundtrack to being a girl - feisty and fabulous - LOVE.

pink_moleskine.jpg
I get as excited about stationery as I do chocolate and cupcakes, so imagine my happiness when I found that they did the cult moleskine notebooks that I totally heart in pink? I obviously had to buy myself a complete set, because cute notebooks are an absolute necessity when writing cute books.

Right?

Someone agree with me, please!

sandk.jpgThe awesome girl duo, Kandy and Seelena, have created yet another Sugar Paper zine o’ fabulousness for our make-and-do pleasure - Hurrah!

I am hoping and wishing for an entire weekend of nothingness so I can see how many of the 20 things to make-and-do I can actually fit in, top of my list include: Forming a band - wanna join? Makin’ a mix-tape - I love nothing more than to kick it up retro style, sip home-made lemonade and add fancy tails with paper bows to my new kite. Once again, these zine queens have created quite possibly the most fun zine…Ever!

To get your crafty hands on the latest copy, head over to: www.sugarpaper.bigcartel.com or to read more about the girls behind the zine check out our Inspir-o-girl interview!

mizz.jpgMizz magazine has gone Lola and Lisa crazy this issue as they are totally pimpin’ us up!

Not only is there is a double page spread ALL about the new Lola book, It’s a Girl Thing, there’s an agony aunt special with an interview with li’l ol’ me!

It’s all really rather fabulous!

And in a complete love in, you can read an interview with Mizz features ed, Lucy Saxton over at www.lolasland.com - she’s super cool and only 24, totally inspiring, go check her out!

While all the Lola Love action will be happening over at www.lolasland.com - believe me, it rocks.
Fact.
It has an awesome online magazine that I’m ed-girl of with ah-mazing competitions, kick-ass interviews with everyone from Simple Plan and One Night Only to craft girls Kandy Diamond and Plastic Bat, there’s music, film and book reviews, Lola’s diary, super-fun games to play (my personal fave is Clunky Monkey!), a chance to social network and make your own Lola-inspired avatar and a whole virtual world that you can customise - if I do say so myself, it’s beyond fabulous, so if you haven’t been to visit, please go over there now, become a member, read some features - go-for-it girl has some real feel-good favbulousness to boost your bravado - play some games and most importantly, let us know what you think ‘k!?

Hope that all helps, chicas - if you’ve got any more questions, just ask!

Hola!

I’m writer-girl today and have offish started book 3 of the Lola Love fiction series - it’s so much fun, I’m beyond excited that I get to hang out with Lola on a daily basis now - like I’ve not got the best life ever?!!

So, as you know, when I’m writing, I LOVE me a visit to the procrastination station, which is basically anywhere, or anything, that is NOT what I’m actually supposed to be doing, so when I received this emailage from a gal-pal entitled Fun Things About Me, I thought answering it would be fun time frankies…

Betty1.jpgSo, I’m totally heartin’ Ugly Betty.

Betty is officially my new inspiro-a-gogo girl.

She follows the beat of her own marchin’ band, makes her own Betty-shaped footprints and I don’t know ’bout you, but I’m thinkin’ her nerdsville fabulousity seriously rocks.

Which is why I’m all over her website: www.bettysuarez.com

It has everything a fan-girl needs to find out more about Betty and her world. Much love.
Betty, will you be our BFF?

Betty1.jpgUgly Betty hits our screens here in the UK tonight, 9.30pm, Channel 4.
Oh, happy days.

There is nothing not to love ’bout this - I’ve had a sneaky peek on YouTube, and am crazy in crush with it already!
Basically, Ugly Betty follows the daily life of our new favourite lady Betty Suarez, she’s from a struggling Latino family and works as an assistant at super swanky MODE fashion magazine. Ala Devil Wears Prada, most of her colleagues think they’re more attractive than she is, they often humiliate and insult her because of her appearance, but the best bit? Betty don’t care.
She’s not even interested in fashion.

Her boss, the womanizing, but right outta cutesville, Daniel Meade has a serious lack of fashion experience too, but both are intent on performing well at their jobs, even though there are sneaky-types out to try and stop them…

Seriously, Ugly Betty is the stuff of dreams. Tune in tonight and we’ll do Betty chat!

Lisa Clark is a multi-taskin’ kinda girl.

She’s creator of www.pink-world.co.uk, agony aunt for the super-cool magazine, Mizz and author of a brand new series of feel-good, go-for-it guides for teen girls, Think Pink.

Join Lisa as she welcomes you to Pink World, a world where you can be gorgeous, be happy, be yourself and love who you are!
