Monday’s treat: Feed your tresses
What you need:
1 egg
1tsp honey
2 tbsp olive oil
Directions: Crack the egg into a bowl. Add honey and mix with an elecrtic whisk for 10 seconds. Pour in oil and blen for another 20 seconds. Take the mixture with you into the shower. Shampoo and condition as usual, then apply this super conditioning concoction to your hair (keep it away from your eyes!) Massage it in for about 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Hola chicas! So have you seen these pix of Britney Spears? She’s boldly agreed for the original photos from her latest shoot for Candie’s (an American-o clothes company) to be released alongside the final retouched copies.
As you know, I am VERY keen on all you girls knowing the real facts, it’s so important to know that celebrities don’t just look instantly fabulous when they appear in the pages of a magazine, they have a team of make-up artists, stylists and the wonder of air-brushing at their beck and call.
Which is why I’m lovin’ Britney right now for highlighting the pressure so often put on girls and women to look perfect, allowing us to see her in all her un-airbrushed glory.
If you compare the images side-by-side, you can see exactly which little nips and tucks the Candie’s team gave Ms Spears, before releasing the final ad campaign.
From the front-facing shot, it’s clear that Britney’s legs have been slimmed down considerably, with the final picture giving her computerised thighs and thinner calves, as well as a noticeably smaller waist.
The bruises from her right leg have been zapped, while her skin tone seems to have been brightened and evened-out.
While on the back shots, all traces of that pesky cellulite have been removed, to be replaced with entirely blemish-free skin and Britney’s bum looks to have been replaced by an almost unrecognisable, perkier rear.

I love pampering myself, this is factuality, but if, like me, you’re all out of cash after the festive season, pay less and pamper yourself more with these easy home-made beauty recipes. Now, go get mixin’!
HUNGRY HAIR
What you need:
1 egg
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
Crack the egg into a bowl.
Add honey and mix with an electric beater for 10 seconds.
Pour in oil and blend for another 20 seconds.
Take the mixture with you into the shower.
Shampoo and condition as usual, then apply this super-conditioning concoction to your hair (keep it away from your eyes!)
Massage it in for about five minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water - voila! Shiny, gorgeous tresses!
APPLE A-PEEL
What you need:
1 medium apple
5 tbsp honey
Directions:
Peel and finely grate apple.
Add honey and combine thoroughly.
Smooth over skin and let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.
FANCY FEET
What you need:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp oil (almond or olive)
juice from 1/2 lemon
Directions:
Mix ingredients in a bowl.
Get your feet slightly wet and rub the mixture briskly all over your feet and up to your ankles (it’s a bit messy, so make sure to do it over a tub or towel).
Rinse in warm water, then dry completely.

Pink Lady, Lana reminded me that I hadn’t posted about the gorgeous goddess girl Bettie Page leaving us for the sparkly pin-up girl calendar in the sky.
Sadly, Bettie Page, died last Thursday in California aged 85.
Bettie’s legendary look will rock on forever for those of us, like me, who find mucho inspir-o from her raven hair, beautiful curves and pin up photos.

I am every kind of sad that the amazing talent that was Cyd Charisse has died of a heart attack. Sad days.
Cyd Charisse, who brought sizzle and sophistication to dance in classic movie musicals such as Singin’ in the Rain and Band Wagon was a total hottie and owned the screen in every scene.
Charisse captured moviegoers’ attention in a quick succession of films, starting with the now infamous Singin’ in the Rain in 1952, in which she partnered with dancer and super-hot actor of the time, Gene Kelly in a steamy ballet.
