You ever heard that saying, “your body is a temple?”
Well, when you’re Beauty*licious, you worship at the temple of you every single day.
What we do to our body, or put in it, is a reflection of how much we dig ourselves. So it makes a whole lot of sense that if you want to look and feel fierce and fabulous, you have to treat your body with respect and keep it in perfect-o working order. Right?
Which is why Pink Ladies, like myself and Lola, worship our fabulousness by staring in the mirror, primping and experimenting daily with various Beauty*licious rituals. Not only is it a major source of fun, it’s a chance to play goddess-girl with our appearance, max-up our self-image and gives us that super-important moment in the day to say: “Hey Gorgeous Girl - you’re looking seriously Beauty*licious!”
Y’see, a true Beauty*licious Pink Lady will work her beauty routine out of pure prettifying pleasure NOT out of self-loathing. She doesn’t put make-up on to cover up, she puts it on to enhance her too-cute features because pampering is all about the fun. It doesn’t have to involve putting make-up on either, it can be taking a soak in a filled-to-the-brim bubble bath, rubbing yummy coconut smelling body lotion on each morning or preparing a DIY face mask. If you enjoy looking after yourself, other people will pick up on your positive ‘tude and you will become a walking, talking, primping poster girl for all things Beauty*licious - damn, you’re pretty!
Beautification 101
- Always express your feisty, fun, fearless and fabulousness - you know you’re all these things no matter what look you’re working, right?
- Never blend. Evah. Instead of trying to cover up what’s different about you - experiment, ignore trends and figure out how to accentuate your fabness so you’ll be sure to stand out in a crowd.
- Rock a look that feels completely right for you. If you take the chance to be seen, it doesn’t matter if no one else digs it. You’re a star-shaped, glitter-girl, baby and you call the shots on how you look in your world.
WIN! WIN! WIN! What would your tips for being beauty*licious be? What prods do you love? What makes you feel fab about yourself when you look in the mirror? The best comment will receive a copy of Beauty*licious and some glitter-fabulous Barry M prodz - closing date is February 14th 2010.

To be beauty*licious, you musn’t care about what other people are wearing or the trends currently in vogue. You should think about what you enjoy wearing and what makes you smile when you see other people rocking their respective looks.
Me? I don’t wear makeup. You see, everyone abuses it at school (I go to a girls school), laying on the foundation and fake tan like it’s the last on earth, and it has discouraged me. I mean, it’s not like there’s any boys to impress!
What I love most about myself is my hair, because I can make myself unrecognisable by wearing it a different way. Plus I can dye it different colours, but I’m not allowed to go too wild…

i don’t actually wear make-up and have no clue what you do. elenor is right going to school really puts you off, so many girls with way, way too much mascarra on. my school isn’t even all girls.
to be beauty*licious you have to love what ya got going on. not even always the way it looks in the mirror. my fave look was the time me and my friends went crazy with zinc and made harry potter faces and stuff. fashion is all about expression and having fun, that’s why people see such crazy looks on runways.
my fave things about my awesome refelction are my hair which is just longer than my shoulders and won’t be curly or straight. it’s almost black and at the moment looks fab. i love brushing it and tieing it up different ways. i also love my eyes which are one ring or browny green and another of blue. i love to smile at my self and see someone smile back!

I love eyeliner, it makes my green ‘cat’ eyes purrfect. Love blacks, blues and bright colours too, if it’s eyeliner I will wear it!

My tip for being beautylicious is to stop thinking about what’s wrong with you and trying to cover that up.. just try to enhance the beauty that you have! Then people won’t see what you are trying to hide, but they will only notice your beautiful lashes, or full pouty lips! But people can tell when you cover your whole face with concealer and foundations..
I mostly love my sparkly eyeshadowpencil. It makes my eyes look very bright and catchy! It really brings the focus to my eyes without going over the top. Combine it with some mascara and my eyes are amazing!
The thing I love the most when I look in the mirror are my lips. They are big (but not to big), dark red and only need a bit lipgloss to make them awsome!

My tip would be.. make sure you buy the right shade of foundation - all the girls in my school have orange faces and white necks. Not a good look! Also, don’t go overthe top with makeup, stick to the natural look, seriously it looks prettier. And one final tip, make sure you wash off all your makeup at night to lessen the risk of spots. Although I have pretty good skin so don’t need to wear foundation and I normally only put a lyer of mascara on. So, when I look in the mirror, I like my skin the most because I don’t use that much products on it and its still quite smooth and clear.

Iffath.
I totally agree with EleanorLight, it doesn’t take make-up to be beauty*licious, it’s whats on the inside that counts, your personality, who you are, what you think of yourself is the most important thing–not what others think of you, and I still wish I could be more like that..not caring what others think..but at least I have the courage to tell my best friend that the ‘artificial colouring’ she is constantly checking and putting on her face makes her look fake, not beautiful, because technically, beautiful is what she is preventing herself from being, if only she could realise that..
Also what Leaa said, you should ENHANCE what you have–don’t hide it
