I heart KPS!

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to intro you to my partner in all things pink, Miss KittyPinkStars. She’s a kooky girl who lives in a candy pink gingerbread house full of crafting, kittens, rainbows, toys, love and craziness! She makes a rainbow collection of sock creatures that all have their very own felt friend. Inspired by her love of super bright colours, Japanese fruits, sweet treats, cartoons and all things kawaii and all made from the doodles that she thinks up in her bee-you-tiful candy floss mind! Come meet her, she’s freakin’ adorbz. Fact.

Describe the girl behind the label in 5 words…
Pink.. Kooky.. Daydreamy.. Creative.. Silly



What is it you do exactly and when did you know you were a creative girl making awesomely creative things?
I’ve always been far more creative than academic, I always just loved to make stuff but since my little boy was born (Noah I really let my crazy imagination go wild and thought I could really do something with this stuff

What’s your creative process like – how do KPS creations go from an idea in your head to items of total prettiliciousness?
I don’t always sleep well because my head is always spinning with new ideas. I have a note pad by the bed and I love to doodle, so my crazy ideas become doodles and then my big love of felt, fabric, textures, kawaii and colour bring these little critters to life.

Is it hard to be creative and business-y too?
I’ve actually just become self employed with this little venture so I’m working really hard to be all businessy… Yes my creative streak does make it hard for me to concentrate and be all sensible but I’m doing ok. I really want this to work, it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do!



What do you love most about what you do?
Being able to make people smile is a really wonderful part of what I do, It’s also a wonderful feeling when other people see my creations and are positive about them because sometimes I think that maybe only I would be interested in the inside of my creative head!

Live the daydream



If KPS had a soundtrack what songs would be on it?
Lots and lots of Counting Crows…They alone are my soundtrack! But I also love The Flaming Lips and Super Furry animals with a big heap of Tori Amos thrown in

 too…

What do you love most about being a girl?
Being able to dress up… I love individuality.. Lolita fruits fashion and anything pink crazy and candyfloss! What’s not to love being a girl?

Who are your style icons?
I love Gwen Stefani… Her harajuku style is the greatest.


If you could return to a specific era, what would you choose?
1970’s! I love the home décor and the completely crazy fashion!
