Woah there! What’s happening, sweet things?
I’ve been getting a scary amount of letters recently from gorgeous girls who aren’t digging themselves, who are comparing body parts to celeb girls and who are talking trash to their sweet, sweet selves…Er, hello chicas, please can I remind you that you’re Pink Ladies, you’re awesome and you rock n’ rule!
As you know, sometimes I, Lisa Clark, creator of all things pink thinkin’, can forget to think pink - you’ve only got to check out my recent post about The Mean Reds to know that - so, for all of us kick-ass, totally awesome, too-cool-for-school Pink Ladies, who sometimes forget how amazing we are, I’ve compiled a 5 point pink thinkin’ plan to re-boot fabulization…
1. Dig yo’self - instead of moaning and groaning about everything that’s wrong in your world whether it’s too much school work, your protruding tum, your parentals, start telling yourself and your gal-pals about your sucesses and the things you love and enjoy. It’s not big headed to say how fabulous you are, or to shout about winning the school hockey match - we need to celebrate each others good stuff to create lots of pink, positive energy!
2. Take good stuff from everything you do - make everything you do enjoyable and fabulous, even if it means doing your homework in a tiara!
3. Treat yourself - it’s important to do something that makes you happy, especially when you don’t feel like it. For example, take a bubble-filled bath, hula-hoop for 15 minutes, or indulge in your favourite feel-good food.
4. Dance - Dancing rules. Whether it’s in your bedroom, at the school disco or in the street, bustin’ some moves will make you feel amazing!
5. Dress to impress - wear outfits and accessories that impress YOU, not other people. You might feel like you want to fit in, but it’s so much cooler to stand out! Wear something fun that makes you feel happy and beautiful.
For those of you with copies of Think Pink, Beauty*Licious or any of the Lola Love books for that matter, it’s time to take them down from the shelf and re-read, g-friends!
If you are having feelings of self-doubt, comparing yourself to celeb-types and hatin’ on yourself, and you don’t have any of the Lola books yet, they really are perfect for self-esteem boostin’, butt-kickin’ and helping you to become the most happy-to-be-you self - even if I do say so myself! You can go buy them now at Amazon.
Now, as you know, I don’t answer specific problems here at Pink-world, but if you do have something you’re upset or worried about, please head over to www.mizz.com where I’m resident agony aunt, and you can write or email in with your problem and it’ll be answered online or in the magazine.

Hey Lisa….
I adore stationery and I love that notebook up there. I would love to use it to write down all the nice things people say about me!
Do you know where it is from? I am also using a totes vintage notebook at the mo for all my revision notes from Paperchase. You can maybe find it there. It has three 1960-esque models on the front and blue checks on the back!

Thanks Miss Lisa, it’s nice to hear little bursts of encouragement. I’m still shy but I more inner coinfidence. I like to dress up but I think I look just as beautiful in a sack. I hope all girls should feel like that. Dancing rocks, don’t it? Have you learned the Hoedown Throwdown?

what’s the hoedown throwdown? it sounds awesome! i’ve decided to give up complaining, sometimes you need to( just a little around your gal pals), but mostly it actually makes things harder. why would i be any better at javalin if i’m saying i’m unco? for the record i am kinda unco, i managed to hit myself in the head with the javalin, but i rock at hockey so it doesn’t matter!

The Hoedown Throwdown is the big dance number in Hannah Montana: The Movie! There’s like a video on Youtube where you can learn it.

I love that notebook its gorgeous! I get through about 3 notebooks a week because i love to write stuff when im bored. I dont know why but i pick up a pen randomly and find myself writing lists constantly even if its something as wierd as names or places id like to go or the pets i want to have when im older.
