Pink Ladies, just like you, I know that I rock, and when I look in the mirror, I like what I see - I have sparkly-eyes, a cute smile and a fabulous ability to accessorise, but for a while now, despite having written Beauty*licious, I forgot to show myself, and my body, the love it deserves.
I’ve been using it as a trash can putting way too much bad food in it and not enough good food, I’ve not pampered or looked after myself nearly enough, and haven’t been doing pilates and walking, which I love, as often as I should…

One of my fave author-girls, Emma Forrest, once said that it’s really easy to give a bad review but a good review takes real effort, and she’s totes right. I deal with words, words are my thing, but I cannot find any word combinations good enough to tell you how much you MUST see this movie.

January is proving to be quite fabulous-o s’far, I’m in the process of prepping allsorts of Lola goodness for the month of February - there’s competitions, book offers and general fabulousness that will make your life a whole lot sweeter, I promise! I’m currently editing Time to Shine, the fourth book in the Lola fiction series, as my ed-girl has put a lot of red pen through it - boo. Writing books really is like being at school y’know, lots of red pen and constant deadlines! I’m also writing the fifth book, Li’l Miss Bliss, which involves Lola, Sadie and a leopard-print tent at a festival!

The awesome Audrey Hepburn may have appeared in Paris When It Sizzles, but if life was a movie starring me, right now, my movie would be called Paris When it Snows.
I would be the leading lady, natch, and wear quirky one-of-a-kind ensembles designed especially for me by Jean Paul Gautier. My leading man would be a tall, dark brooding french boy with eyes that would look deep into my soul. He’d wear black and want to show me all things arty. There would be flirts and heart pinches and lots of misunderstandings and this would be it’s soundtrack…
So, I was putting together a Paris When It Snows soundtrack, yep, still Par-ee obsessed - I’ll post it later, when this came on my ipod.
I am officially head-over-pink ballet pumps in love with all things Paris, so it seems only right that I intro you to my very favourite Par-ee discovery, Miss Sugar Cane!
On a shopping trip to the totes swanksville Galleries Lafayette - a bit like Harvey Nichols, but WAY more swanks and full of chic, sophisticated Parisiens, obv. - I found accessory heaven. A bee-you-tiful pink concession stand dedicated to the most deliciously spectacular creations I’ve ever seen - Miss Sugar Cane - j’adore!
Chiquitas, I’m still high on happiness from my trip to gay Par-ee, le sigh. I’ve been watching Fred Flare’s Paris Flare vid on repeat, SATC American Girl in Paris part une et duex, channeling Amelie and refusing to speak English. Which is why I’ve been super-slack at spinning the wheel of all things fabulousness to bring you your usual advice, goodies, pretty things and pink insights - I am SO sorry!
