melaughing.jpgThere are a million, trillion things that make me smile, right now it’s Ne-Yo and Rimmel’s 60 second nail polish in Portobello Pink, but like Lola, we all need to fill our Think Pink vanity case with things that will flick our mood switch to happy, happy, joy, joy in nano-seconds…

Here’s just a few of my happy-inducers:

Writing. I love to write words - I love bloggin’, journalling, feature writing and best of all, book writing. I love that I’m able to hang with kick-ass characters all day - Lola and the Pink Ladies are the best hang-buds ever - and I love that I make a living doing what I love, that makes me the happiest girl in the whole, wide world. See? Look how happy I am!

MACY03_261.jpgI know it’s the season to share, and while I love sharing, I am an only child so do find it very difficult to part with things I love.

Y’see, I know that this bee-you-tiful Adoring Carmine: 3 Rose Lips MAC gift set would be a perfect-o gift for ANY of my gal-pals, but look at it, I mean, seriously LOOK AT IT, it’s lipstick-licious, isn’t it?

With a small red-orange drawstring purse, two full-sized MAC lipsticks - To Swoon For and Romancin’; and a mini MAC lipglass in Delicate Crush I suggest you purchase it pronto, it’s £28.00, wrap it up and label it: To Me, because you deserve it, love me!

Yesterday I wrote a post all about my scheduled solo-girl trip to Mumbai that I was going to share with you tonight.

I was going to tell you all about the fun places I planned to visit, the amazing people I planned to meet, the incredible things I planned to do, but after the awful, mindless, violent and shocking events that have unfolded, I’m just going to use this space to send all my prayers, thoughts and big-hearted love to everyone in the amazing, colourful, beautiful free-spirited Mumbai…

Sadly, I’m not an Americano, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the idea of Thanksgiving, so for today, which is officially Thanksgiving day in the US of A, I am going to become Americano.

I write three things in my journal that I’m thankful for everyday, but for anyone that doesn’t, the idea of a day of being thankful is just soo cool. Why don’t us Brits do it? You get to eat two Christmas-like dinners - mmmm - and most importantly, you take time out of your crazy days to be thankful - what’s not to love about that?

Love Mcfly? I do, I do!

Their new single, Do ya, is not only the catchiest tune from catchy-tune city, it’s the Official Children in Need song too.

It’s available right now, so go buy it and enjoy striking your best air guitar pose safe in the knowledge that your poundage has gone to charity - hurrah!

headphones_wallpaper_girl_1re_1.jpgI am the queen of procrastination, this is factuality, which is why I’m lovin’ yet another excuse to take time out from book writing to fill in this fab-u tunage meme - this is by far my most favourite meme ever!

What you have to do:
1. Put your iTunes, Windows Media Player, Minamp, etc on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
4. Put the artist after a dash following the song name.
5. Put any comments in brackets.
6. Tag other people.

pack_shot_jpeg.jpgI have a total girl crush on Kelly Brook.

What’s not to crush on, right? Not only is she an uber glam teev personality with killer stylin’, she’s now added yet another string to her bow with the launch of her new fragrance: Kelly Brook Vivacious.

Don’t be fooled, Vivacious is not your average celeb-girl perfume - oh no. Nope, this is a sweet-smellin’ treat of deliciousness with notes of raspberry, rose and vanilla. Leave the house with a spritz of this and you’ll be asking; “mmm, what’s that’s amazing smell? Oh, its me!”

Laura_2.JPGIf you love muso-girls like Lauryn Hill and Jill Scott, you’ll love the powerful, honey-tinged vocals of 20-year-old singer/songwriter/producer, Laura Izibor.

Born to a working class family in Dublin, Ireland, Laura admits she didn’t grow up in a musical household. “My mother raised five kids on her own, so there wasn’t much time to buy records – it wasn’t that kind of home. I found myself fancying music at about 13.”

Once the love for musicians like Stevie Wonder, Candi Stanton, and Roberta Flack took hold, she was smitten for good. “One door opened to the next – first I discovered Marvin Gaye, and then Otis Redding, and I just fell in love with soul music.”

meposing.jpgThe wildly fabulous Miss Corrine has just tagged all her readers encouraging them to share seven random facts about themselves, to read hers, go here, to read mine, read on, chicas!:

* I am obsess-O with all things Goddess-ey.

It started when I interviewed the author of Goddess Girl Power, Cordelia Brabbs for Pink-world. Since then, Cordelia has become one of my best buds, I’ve attended an amazing Goddess Girl weekend in Glasto which was just magical, I’ve hooked up with super-talented goddess girls like Leonie and Anita, and I’ve spent lots of time reading about, researching and falling in total girl crush with ancient goddesses from around the world - my faves are Kali, Lilith and Kwan Lin - who prove to me time and time again why girls officially rock and rule!

EBAW150.jpgI’m sorry, but I’ve had to put buying gifts for others on hold, because I. NEED. THESE.

They’re from a v.cool website called www.theearringboutique.com, FYI, the clue is in the title - yep, it’s an online boutique selling very pretty, pretty earrings and I’m in total heart with these Baby Angel Wing cuties - aren’t they adorbz?

They’re punk, they’re glam, they’ve got pink sparkles and while they’re a teeny bit pricey at £35, quite frankly, I’m worth it!

stinkyry4.jpgSo, this weekend I had a ‘moment’.

Like Lola, I am fiesty, fun, fearless and fabulous - how do I know? Because I tell myself every day, of course! Except for a moment, on friday, I let someone’s judgements and opinions about my fabulous-o self make me feel sad and bad.

It was a stinky boy-type, and he asked what I did for a living. I told him I write books and deliver workshops to help girls feel good about themselves, and do you know what he said? He said: “How can you do that when you’re overweight? I mean you’re really pretty, but you’re a big girl, you can’t be happy with yourself so how can you help others feel good about themselves?”

This meme is doing the rounds and as I have a book I should be writing, it’s proving to be a fab way to avoid actually writing it…I will write it, just as soon as I’ve finished this…honest.

Basically, all you have to do is bold the statements below that you’ve done so we can learn a little bit about each other - cool, huh?! There’s a few crazy ones, so be warned!

marilyn_monroe_792471.jpgI collect quotes.

Inspiring quotes, uplifting quotes, profound quotes, funny quotes…I have journals full of them, I have them written on pretty pink postcards on my pin-board and I even have a few on post-it notes that I’ve stuck to my mirror to remind me how to be fabulous, y’know, just in case I forget.

These are a few of my favourites…

“…I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes. I’m out of control sometimes and hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best…”

beautylicious.jpgYep, I’m going to say it; Christmas!

The only reason I’m mentioning it mid-November, which should still technically involve celebrating my b-day, is because I’m going to be away for a big chunk of December - did I tell you? I’m going to India?! - and I’m having to start my Christmas shopping early…

So, despite being an only child, I thought it might be really cool to offer up some Pink-world recommends… over the next few weeks to inspire your very own present-buying - I know, I’m like the gift that keeps giving, right?!

princess1.jpgIf you’ve read the Think Pink manifesto you’ll know that, at the very top, it states; “…Don’t wait for others to treat you like the princess that you are…” that’s because both Lola and I know that being a princess is quite possibly the most fabulous-o thing in the world.

Fact.

If however, you’re struggling to embrace your princess-ness and want to know how to make wishes come true, come meet Princess Skye. Skye is creator-girl of The Princess Portal, a lifestyle blogginz all about being a Princess. I know, awesome, right? It’s filled to the brim with great features that will help you to recognise your own strengths and personal beauty - it’s divine, it’s beautiful, it’s inspir-O - j’adore.

NEWNEWNEWNEWNEW.gifI am such a shocker when it comes to storing my jewellery. I have cute li’l trinket boxes scattered all over my room filled with necklaces, beads, bracelets, hair clips, earrings, which is good, except, they get all caught up and tangled and make li’l miss impatient - that’s me, btw - mucho grumpo when I can’t instantly access the item I need for accessorisation, which, FYI is my most important part of the day…

Sooooo, I am beyond excited to have discovered this…. a jewellery hanger.

So simple, yet totally life changing for an accessory queen like my sweet self. Available from Rubys Closet and at a totally credit-crunch friendly £14.40, I’m going to write to Santa right now and request a set of 3!

I never need an excuse to post a Take That video, I heart Take That, but this is quite possibly the BEST feel-good, shake-off the-rainy-Monday-glums tune EVER! May I suggest you turn it up and sing it loud - go on, dare you!

pile_of_books.jpegNEW BLOG TO LOVE!

A li’l while back, the fabu Miss Hannah, knowing my love for all things book, pointed me in the direction of an awesome new review site that she’d discovered, www.dragonflybookreviews.blogspot.com created by the way-to-fabulous-for-words 13-years-old, Sara Ann Leslie.

I have been a total fan-girl ever since, and I have absolutely no doubt that if you love tween/teen books and think that reading rocks, you will be wanting a ‘I heart Sara’ badge pretty soon too!

Well, get your manicured mitts on this, the most addictive, glamorous thing since…well…Gossip Girl. Young, Loaded & Fabulous by Kate Kingsley.

velvetimageedit.jpgA li’l while back I hooked you up with the beyond awesome Melissa Dempster, make up artist to the stars and creator of her own fabu prods of wonder, www.mellicosmetics.com

Now I want to hook you up with a Melli Cosmetics prod of total and utter perfection, it’s called VELVET Silk Perfection Mousse Primer and I’m in L.O.V.E.

Not only does it come in a super-cute silver pot which j’adore, but inside is the stuff of magic. A super-soft mousse that is able to turn my open pores and uneven skin into movie screen fabulousness. It really is a little bit magic - it evens out your skin tone and makes my face feel so unbelievably soft I just want to keep touching it.

Big prod love to melli cosmetics - if it’s good enough for the turban-wearing, smokin’ hot X Factor judge Danni Minogue, then it’s a deffo good enough for me!
