So, as those of you who know me will testify, I’m fur-reakin’ out about my BIG birthday, which FYI, is in 7 days time.
I want to be okay about it, I want to Think Pink about it, I want to be able to say it’s ‘just a number’ but, right now, I’m finding that waaaaay too difficult. I really don’t know what the big deal is, all I know is that it is. A big deal, that is. Grr.
So, I’m denying all knowledge of the actual numbers and instead, I’m filling my last week of twenty-dom with fun times, like… my tattoo - which is all healed up now and looking super-cute, seeing Vampire Weekend - I stayed in the mosh pit for at least 3/4 of the gig, something I didn’t even do when I was 18 - go me! I drank cocktails, ate yummy food and danced to indie/prep rock with the girls on Saturday, I’m going to see HSM3 this evening, and the rest of the week will be about lunches with fabulous people, dancing with strangers, planning new projects and adventures, oh…and I’m going to eat a lot of cupcakes, because, well…I like doing that a lot.
What do you suggest I do in my last week of twenty-dom? If I do it, I’ll send you a prize!

There are so many things you can for your birthday! You could have as total Think Pink party with all things adorable and pink! Pink clothes, pink food, pink cocktails… get as creative as you feel! Or go to one of those outdoor cinema and snuggle up with your boyfriend wathcing a total retro movie- how romantic! Then go dancing at the beach, at night. Not really sure if you’d like that. Take a wild trip to India with your girlfirends or family. Or just buy some India-inspired clothing and jewellrey. Take some salsa dancing lessons and become and expert salsa dancer! Go to a concert, or go vintage shopping and buy specially designed clothes for you! Whatever you choose to do, have a great birthday! I hope you enjoy every minute of it!

Ooooh! Happy Birthday in a week
Anyway - basically have you time (or me time..). Have a hot chocolate, and a nice warm bubbly bath. Also, make sure you are surrounded by friends, family and strangers for the next week!! Have a good time. Think of this as your bucket list basically!
Have a happy birthday Lisa!

HAAAAAAAPPPPY BIRTHDAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!
You can get flowers that you put in champagne or lemonade that turn it pink- get some of those from hawkins bazar. Treat yourself with something that you have always wanted, like a gorgey dress or a huge box of belgian chocs. But most importantly, have mucho fun with your friends and family.
have a great b-day. x

suggestion: Have a pink day where everything you do has to be associated with pink. So buy a pink birthday gift for youself. Drink lemonade, make pink cupcakes the list goes on
suggestion 2. Have a pink slumber party with all your Pink Ladies where you eat the pink cupcakes and drink the pink lemonade. & maybe sneak in a bar of chocolate.
Have a fabulous, pink birthday

Ohh… I have some more ideas! Why not go to a fireworks display- a pink fireworks party! Have party at night outside with all your friends and fam- have a party under a canopy with all your fave things. Take the telly outside with a long extended cord and watch all your fave movies on DVD.
Another idea: Wake up and have breakfast in bed- all your fave things. Spend a few hours drooling over a cute dress online. Have a day of browsing through awesome stores and buying stuff. Then when let your friends and fam take you to a snazzy cafe where you can have a nice birhday luch and then let them buy you all he cake you want! Come home and get changed into some party clothes and spend the rest of the night drinking homemade pink cocktails and other pink stuff! Open up all yor prezzies, watch some DVDs blow out your birthday candles. When all that is done, soak up in a a hot bath with scented lavender candles and bath bombs. Then drift off to a nice sleep. Next week take a trip to somewhere desired just like an afterbirthday present. Hope you like the ideas!
Happy birhday- next week!

If the weather down there is half as bad as it is up here this might be a non-starter but I highly recommend flying a kite - it indulges the inner kid and is surprisingly calming/therapeutic/fun.
Go to a paint your own pottery place and paint GIANT mug with all your favourite memories of things that remind you of them or even just favourite things like pink, cupcakes etc and then once it’s finished you can have a huge hot chocolate in it and every time you drink from it you’ll see all the things that make you happy.
Go through old pictures of yourself and look how much more stylish you are now (Though to be fair you’ve always been super cool) and realise that with age comes comfort in your skin, your abilities and your life and that means your 30s will be awesome.
If you happen to be in London on Nov 10th - 12th I’ll buy you a cupcake and maybe even a kite

Happy Birthday Miss Fabulous!!
Me being me, i would most definately make a scrapbook/magazine style book journalling my life so far. Give it a cool title, you can of course be the cover girl and lay it out like the ultimate magazine that you have always wanted to read, but it is also all about you subtly. You could be the woman selling some perfume for an advert. You of course can be the agony aunt at the back and the problems can be problems that you have faced in the past and the answer are how you over came them.
And so on, you get the idea haha.
Hope to speak to you soon miss.
Now that I am settled in Manchester I am going to try and get completely stuck in with my writing, I am writing the Cherry Bakewell story as a diary/book and posting small extracts up on myspace as a blog.
Hope it all goes well.
much love.
Have a great birthday.

I think you should CELEBRATE the fact that you’re a proper grown-up now, don’t be sad!!
There’s loads of things you could do, and I love everyone else’s suggestions! Here are a few of my own:
1. Don’t wait for other people to buy you pressies, buy yourself lots of things you love that make you feel great, like make-up, accessories, smellies, books, chocolates etc.
2. Have a big party with all your family and friends, cheesy girly music, lots of cake and dancing into the small hours. And wear a pink tiara so you feel like a princess for the night!
3. Write a list if thirty things you’re proud of achieving and thirty things you still want to do.
4. Buy yourself and The Man tickets to the next Take That tour (on sale this Friday!) Even better, get him to buy them for you
Or…
5. Overcome a fear by doing a skydive, holding a snake or anything that frightens you, then turning thirty won’t seem so scary at all in comparison!
Whatever you decide to do, have an amazing time!
I hope you like the b’day card I sent you (it probs won’t have got there yet though!)
