Pssst…I’ve got a secret.
I’ve found this totes ah-mazin’ website www.Lovelula.com - it’s adorably cute to look at and is filled-to-the-brim with an unbelievably fabulous, hand picked collection of some of the world’s finest and purest natural beauty & organic products.
Organic goddess and site queen, Lula Lewis has come to play in our world o’ pink and tell us all about the fabulousity that is: www.Lovelula.com
Describe Lula in 5 words…
fun, beautiful, cheeky, intelligent, magical
We LOVE Lovelula.com, for those who haven’t visited yet, what is it exactly?
It’s an online organic apothecary (certified by the Soil Association) where you’ll find some of the world’s finest organic beauty products (including hair, skin, body, baby and makeup products) all of which are free of ingredients like parabens and sls and not tested on animals. We stock over 750 products so there’s lots to choose from and we offer fab reward points and speedy delivery.
When did you discover a passion for all things organic?
I’ve always been a bit of a flower fairy; it all started making little potions and perfumes from plants and petals as a child and it’s gradually grown from there. 6 years ago I trained as a naturopath which enabled me to really understand the relationship between our bodies and nature.
When did you decide to set up an organic apothecary and how did you make it happen?
The idea began to formulate in 2004, I was planning to move to South Africa to do another degree but fell in love with Casapr instead (we get married in May). I had always struggled to source the beauty products and makeup I wanted to buy and decided that I would just have to launch a company where you could buy all the purest products around from myself.
What are your must-have goddess-girl products and why?
Suki’s exfoliating lemongrass cleanser because it is a little miracle worker for giving your skin a gorgeous glow, Balm Balm’s Rose lip balm for godess like kissable lips and every goddess should bathe in bod’s goddess bath salts every now and then…
Your website is beee-you-tiful, but it’s not just a shop, it’s a total lifestyle magazine too, where do you find the time to do it all? What motivates you and who are your inspirations?
I’m not sure where I find the time – I work very hard and I have a great team here at Love Lula to make it all happen. I am utterly butterly in love with natural products and nature so I suppose my inspiration and motivation flows from that passion.
You have a ‘Ask Lula’ section - what’s the most asked question? And what’s the one thing we absolutely ALL should know? How can I have gorgeous clear, spot free skin. Loving yourself is the best beauty treatment you can give yourself.
What’s a typical day in the life of Lula? Tell us all!
It’s totally different every day which is why I love it. Dog walking, writing replies to customer emails, unpacking boxes of goodies from suppliers and sweet talking the postman feature quite prominently. Yesterday we pinned up butterflies in the office to make it pretty, flicked through magazines and art books for creative inspiration and tested some potential new products for the website.
What makes you jump-in-the-air happy?
A beautiful sunset on a warm sunny day, catching a glimpse of a wild animal in amongst the undergrowth, puppies and dancing with wild abandon…
What tunes would be on a Lovelula soundtrack?
Abba’s Dancing Queen, Bill Medley + Jennifer Warnes I’ve Had the Time of My Life, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cindy Lauper and You’re Beautiful by James Blunt
What are your top three green-girl tips for organic natural beauty?
Treat yourself like the goddess you are; get ingredient savvy so you won’t be fobbed off with ‘natural fakes’ through cunning marketing; what you eat reflects in your skin, lots of gorgeous vibrant fresh fruit and veg will help you look radiant
The colour pink. Discuss.
Pink can be flirty, feminine, feisty, pretty, funky, sexy or whatever you want it to be…it reflects all the faces of WOMAN….and it’s the colour of love.

Omg! That is so cool! Me and my mum are totally into eating organic (its way better for you and the planet, no icky pestacides!) and helping stop global warming. What better way to look beautiful than with naturals?
