If my journo-girl skills were ever in question, now is the time to stop your doubting Pink Ladies, because I’ve scooped a totes exclusive with top author-girl extraordinaire Meg Cabot!
Now, while I could of quizzed her on important issues like, why Mia has messed up SO badly in book 8 of The Princess diaries or how on earth Meg is able to write the gazillion amount of books that she has AND have time to eat, drink and sleep,
I didn’t.
Instead, I thought to my sweet self, ‘Meg Cabot, one of the most fabulous girls in girlsville, what is your ‘it’ list?’
Luckily, Meg was only to happy to share a glitter-filled, superfluous moment with me, don’tcha just love her?!!
So…Meg Cabot, what’s rockin’ your world?
1. Make up
Clinique Colour Surge Impossibly Glossy Lip Gloss
So super shiny, you don’t even need lipstick.
2. Book
Hyper-Chondria by Brian Frazer
I thought I was the biggest hypochondriac in the universe. But it turns out I was wrong.
3. Shoe
I am completely happiest in my beige Dr. Scholl’s original women’s wood exercise sandal.
I know! And I write chick lit! The scandal!
4. Food
Henrietta’s Chocolate Dipped Coconut Strips
http://www.henriettakeywest.com/coconutstrips.html
I’ve gone up a size since I discovered these. Thanks a lot, Henrietta (I helpfully provided a link so you can go up a size too.)
5. Place
Four Seasons, Los Angeles
Get someone to put you up in this hotel, and while you’re there, get the flu, then tell the maid. They will send chicken soup and a box of tissues to your room. This happened to me on my last book tour, and it was the best time I ever had being sick. I didn’t want to go home.
6. Dress Designer
Right now I am into Chetta B by Sherrie Bloom and Peter Noviello - www.chettab.com because everything I have tried on that’s been made by them was actually the size it said it was on the tag. Which is shocking with today’s vanity sizing.
7. Computer
Mac. All the way. With the number of viruses I get sent, and what happened with my last PC, I would never go back. Ever.
8. TV show
The Dresden Files, SciFi Network
Based on the books by Jim Butcher about a wizard named Harry (but he’s a grown up! He has chest hair!) who solves crime.
9. Movie
Right now, The Queen. I saw it first on a plane. Nothing like weeping uncontrollably on a airplane.
10. Magazine
ELLE. It’s so beautiful and has the most informed articles on the war in Iraq. And where to go for Smart Lipo. You know, just in case.
