Francesca Lia Block is a total hero girl of mine.

She is the creator of my favourite character in all of fictionville, Weetzie Bat.

If you don’t know Weetzie, she’s a bleach blonde punk pixie who lives in LA. But she’s so much more than that too. She’s a total inspir-o girl. She has friends called Duck, Dirk and My Secret Agent Lover Man. But she’s still so much more than that too.

Her creator, Francesca Lia Block, is a sorceress of words, writing modern fairy tales with an edge. She has written a LOT of books, my favourites include: Girl Godess number 9, Violet and Claire and I was a Teenage Fairy, and if you hadn’t noticed yet, I heart FLB x 1000 which is why my belly is filled with flutterby excitement that she has come to play in the world o’ pink…

FLB, you are officially crowned Pink-world’s tiara-wearing, princess of storytelling!

Inspired by girl-group The Pipettes, 17 year old German girls Giulia and Jules, have plugged in their Casio keyboard, busted out some super-cute ensembles and got their pop girl on!

Their myspace is a coolio-a-go-go place of total fabulousity.

It’s the place to hear their 60’s-esque tunes that are perfect-o for room dancin’ and hairbrush singin’ and check out their cute-as-a-button dreamy pix of the girls lookin’ well wistful and every inch the popster!

I can’t speak German, but I can deffo speak pop-girl, which made conversing with these two polka-dot clad girls of cuteness a total breeze!

Amy Davis rocks my pink, stripy socks.

She appears in Think Pink because I love, love, love her - she’s a totes inspir-o girl with the sweetest, pink thinkin’ ‘tude.

She’s an art girl - what this girl can’t do with paper and felt tip pens, well, it simply isn’t worth knowing about, really, it isn’t.

She’s also a rock girl, and both her and her beau have got a total ‘School of Rock’ thing going on over in the US. I’m saving up right now for my air ticket…

I didn’t always heart Lily.

In fact, she used to make me mad. For sure, she’s super talented and I totally dig her style, but I don’t love girls who bad-mouth other girls, that sucks.

But last week, I read this over at Lily’s myspace:

“…I used to pride myself on being strong minded and not being some stupid girl obsessed with the way I look. I felt like it didn’t matter if I was a bit chubby, cause I’m not a model, I’m a singer. I’m afraid I am not strong and have fallen victim to the evil machine. I write to you in a sea of tears from my hotel bed in Seattle, I have spent the past hour researching gastric bypass surgery, and laser lipo suction…”
