What’s your cupcake?

Pink Ladies, I have a question…

Have you ever noticed what happens when you really, really focus on something?
Y’know, like a type of car, a person, a band?
If you’re anything like me, you’ll notice that you suddenly begin to spot that very car, person, band all the time, whether it’s on TV, in real life or on the pages of a magazine… Weird, huh?

Well, Hollywood actress, Virginia Madsen, star of Sideways and The Number 23 used this to her totes advantage, she rules the school - check this out!

Up until her role in Sideways she had been out of work for some time and her LA home threatened with repossession.

Here’s what she says:

“…I created the change in my life. I turned my life in a different direction and really started living with intention. Anyone can do that, and certainly some of the greatest minds in the world do it.

I decided I would only think about cupcakes and I wrote down the word ‘cupcake.’ Lo and behold, they began to appear everywhere. I got out of a cab and there was a grand opening of a cupcake place. I turned on CNN and there was a story about how cupcakes are now all the rage. I got a present from my agent when I started this film: a basket of cupcakes…”

How cool is that?

Y’see, when she knew how to influence what showed up in her world, she began to think about all the other things she’d really rather like. It created a real knock-on effect - she got into shape, took more acting lessons, called casting agents. She then received the call that led to Sdeways and her Academy Award nomination.

So chica, what’s your cupcake?

Imagine how fab your life could be right now, if you just focused exclusively on what you wanted? Instead of worrying about all the bad stuff that makes makes you glum, just concentrate on the good stuff that you want in your life nd how fab your life would be with that stuff in it.

While I am tempted to also think of cupcakes, because let’s face it, a life filled with cupcakes sounds every kind of awesome to me, my cupcake is going to be…to go on a plane. I’ve never been on a plane before and if it involved a trip to NYC that would be kinda cool too. Oh, and Heidiseeker accessories.
