I am head over heels in heart with your sock creatures. Tell us all about them!
I make long legged sock creatures in super bright colours and patterns and bring them to life with a little knitted treat!!!

When did you realise you were a fabulous-o creative girl?
I’ve always been creative really..since a little girl when my nan and mum taught me to sew and knit!! iIjust love making things!!

What was the first product you ever made?
Hmm..probably a badly shaped knitted blanket as a small fuzzy girl…but my first tutti frutti sold was bananas!! He now has his own myspace and is a honorary ren faerie in the usa!! all the ren faeries have one!!!

I have a few creatures needing homes at the moment!! my favourites right now are the fuzzbees…all pink and fluffy and especially for valentines day!! I’m inspired by…my little boy!! (love brings anything to life!! especially big kid love!!)

What’s the secret to your success?
Loving what i do….believing in myself and just being different!!

Do you have to be all business-y too?
No way!! i’m just a funny little cartoon character girl working away at making people smile!!!

What’s a typical day in the life of Kittypinkstars…
Getting my little boy ready and off to school…then patterns, plans, mailing and more creatures!!

What’s your ‘must-have’ accessory?
Well I can’t leave home without my pink plastic rings or I feel totally undressed and always a knitted doughnut or cakes badge…long stripey socks with fluro pink converse……..i always wear something pink!!!

Converse because they rock!!! and johnny cupcakes t shirts are the cutest and coolest!!

What would a Kittypinkstars soundtrack sound like?
Like an indie film…but with lots of Super Furry Animals and Flaming Lips thrown in!!

Both Fruits books….Fruits and Fresh Fruits by Shoichi Aoki - the ultimate style bibles!

What makes you jump-in-the-air-happy?
my little boy…pink..kittens..new wool ..sunshine…cakes..crushes….beachy days!! so many things!!

What’s next in Planet Sock?
I’m just making a sock plush for the medical experiments show in Asheville USA!! Hoping to get a website set up this year and teach myself to crochet!!!

What advice would you have for would-be design girls?
Be yourself,enjoy yourself and follow your heart!!!!
