Money is nice. It can buy those cute-as-a-button pair of shoes you’ve been crushin’ on for like, forever.

But what if you don’t have any? What if you try really hard to save but you end up blowin’ it all in the Jan sales on items you ain’t never-evah going to wear?
Don’t fear.
We have enlisted the help of Think Pink reader, money blogger, and all round queen of moolah, Money Miss.

Money Miss rocks.

“…Grab a mag, some chocolate, ooh, those earrings are nice! Oops.
Where did all the money go?
Being a teen girl is hard…especially the bit when you’re trying to figure out how to afford tickets to a McFly concert AND new shoes. Oh, and a new bag. And lipgloss…
Er…Where was I?
Oh yeah.
So, how is it that some girls seem to be able to afford anything, yet surprisingly, are NOT heiress-types with super rich parentals?
How do you get cute clothes, etc. when your allowance is only €5 a week?

Simple.

You manage you money.
Now, if I tried to cram everything into this article, I wouldn’t do a very good job. So, to start you on your way to money-saving fabulousness, here are my tried and tested best tips.

Are you ready to be a Miss Moneybags?

1. Yes, magazines are essential, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend money on them. Get them from the library. Or ask for a subscription as a birthday or Christmas present.
2. Limit going to the cinema to once a month, and make it a real treat with your girls. Go after school before 5 when it’s cheaper or ask if your cinema has a special day when prices are lower - most do and it’s generally a Tuesday - go ask!
3. Master the art of mixing and matching your clothes…Excellent style credibility AND less money spent! Yay!
4. Money for chores. One of the best parts of being our age is that we can nag our parents for stuff, but if they don’t give in quite so easily, offer to do chores for money each week to top up your allowance
